commissioned work samples

I welcome any ideas for commissions, which might range from affordable small works to paintings on a grand scale.

Currently, I am offering to make a small painting that could include either your home and/or garden - or a detail of your home and surroundings, or any view you might think of such as an interior view of your home or perhaps a favorite landscape view.

For this small work you would be under no obligation to purchase unless you really liked it. I try to price this small work between $300 - $500.00 In these smaller more affordable oil paintings, your input would be to simply tell me the basic subject for the painting, there wouldn't be any real back and forth with each other as the painting is made. Generally, the painting would be made between one to three sessions and would be a fresher, looser and more painterly style. This painting's style that would also be satisfying my own artistic needs and concerns so that I would be happy to keep it for myself if you decide not to buy for any reason and no deposit would be required.

For the larger commissioned work you have input into the particular view and we would work closely together in an approval process so the design and execution of the painting is exactly what you want.  These larger paintings would require a deposit and vary from 500.00 to 5,000.00 and depending on the size of the work, complexity, and level of detail. I currently am not offering portraiture but can include specific figures in an interior, landscape or other outdoor view.
